LAYAN TV is a Malaysian streaming service for short drama series. Each series is told in short episodes that you watch in a web browser, on your phone or your computer.
We are building LAYAN TV as a home for local drama: series in Bahasa Melayu, made by Malaysian creators.
Today. LAYAN TV has not opened to the public. No series is publicly available, nothing is on sale, and no payment is being taken.
How our business works
LAYAN TV sells one thing: LAYAN+, a monthly digital subscription that opens paid episodes, with no ads. LAYAN+ is sold on the web only, through a third-party payment provider. Its price and how to pay are set out in LAYAN+ Subscription and Pricing.
- Some episodes are free. Each series page says which ones before you start watching.
- We deliver the service by online streaming. There are no physical goods and nothing is shipped. Read Digital Service Delivery and Access.
- We do not sell episodes one by one, and we issue no credits, tokens or points with money value.
- In our first phase, we will show a series only under a written licence from its rights holder. Read Content Rights and Creator Licensing.
Where we are now
LAYAN TV is at an early stage, and we are testing the service internally with test media. The planned first phase is a small, invite-only preview on the web, in Bahasa Melayu.
- Only people we invite can join the preview. You can't sign up on your own yet.
- There is no LAYAN TV app in the App Store or on Google Play yet.
- During the preview, every published episode is free for the people we invite. This may change after the preview ends.
We will add series as we reach agreements with creators.
